Tara is a former elementary school teacher, mother of two, certified Happiest Baby Educator (CHBE), and a certified Gentle Sleep Coach. The Gentle Sleep Coaching Program is currently the most extensive & professional sleep certification program available. The program involves over 50 hours of training, an exam and participation in case supervision with Kim West, LCSW-C who has been helping tired parents for over 16 years. Clinical supervision and ongoing advanced training are required to maintain certification as a Gentle Sleep Coach. Some of my training topics have included:

Tara works with families who have children 6 months-6 years old who are not consistently getting a full night's sleep. TPSC will teach parents how to gently teach their child how to fall asleep at bedtime and go back to sleep independently during the night. Individual consultations are provided and the child’s age and temperament, as well as the family’s needs are taken into account before a plan is recommended that will work for them. The family is allowed to choose the method that they feel most comfortable with so it does not have to include leaving their child alone to cry it out!
